The Berry Bible by Janie Hibler (Publisher: AmazonEncore) has many excellent recipes. The book offers valuable information about the various types of berries available worldwide. It discusses everything from the berry’s common name(s), their history, and even the habitat in which they grow the best. It even includes recommendations for picking, storing, and cooking. Most of the blueberry recipes are baked goods. Among the blueberry recipes, one of the most healthy is the Autumn Salad of Arugula, Blueberries, and Smoked Almonds. This recipe in particular has only 161 calories per serving, a 1 cup serving of antioxidants from the blueberries, and the cholesterol lowering benefits of almonds.
Overall, this book is a good source to find reliable information about the different types of berries and the various cooking/preparation techniques associated with them.
